Welcome to our school
Hackham South Primary School and child-parent centre provide an attractive, caring and safe environment. Our excellence in teaching and equality of educational opportunity enables all children to reach their potential as learners and members of society. We strive to develop the individual, promote learning and develop positive relationships. We value responsibility, respect, persistence, harmony, excellence and 'having a go'.
The school begins the year with a two-week program called 'Jumpstart to self-learning and relationships'. The school also has an 'Eat Well, Be Active' program involving all classes. An Aboriginal Education Resource Teacher and Aboriginal Community Education Officer support our Aboriginal students and families. The school also has a specialist music teacher who also trains students for the 'Festival of Music' choir, provides instrumental tuition and organises the school rock band. Physical Education includes SAPSASA sporting activities and other clinics/ coaching opportunities. The school has a strong partnership with the Hackham West Community Centre. LOTE is Kaurna, the local language.
